ABA Annual Year-End Dinner
This year's annual dinner will be on Tuesday, Dec 1, starting at at 7 p.m. at the Trackside Grille on Front Street. It will include a buffet dinner, cash bar, and Yankee Swap. Please bring a gift valued between $5 & $10 for the Yankee Swap, along with your donation for the Food Pantry. Cost will be $10 per person if prepaid to the ABA by November 28, or $15 at the door.

2010 ABA Street Map
The ABA street map is another great opportunity for publicizing your business! The 2008 maps were well received and have all been distributed. Once again, the street maps will be inserted in Ashland Directions, as well as given out at banks and other locations around town. John Ellsworth will spearhead 2010 ABA map ad sales. Linda and Dave Herring will update the map, provide help designing ads, and arrange for printing. Call John at 508-881-3404 to renew your ad, put in a new ad, or volunteer to help sell ads.

We're starting a new feature on the ABA website. If you need a copy of an important handout, check the "Events/programs" page, where it may be available for download. On October 7, Stephen Melanson of Melanson Consulting gave a great 40-minute talk on "The Importance of Verbal Branding." Download the handout in PDF format.

ABA Annual Golf Outing
The Golf Outing held on Tuesday October 6, was a big success! 57 businesses supported the event by contributing to the raffle, and 44 golfers participated.

ABA Name Tags
We are giving free ABA name tags to any member who attends meetings. All you need to do is come to a meeting and sign the name tag signup sheet.

Community  Events:
Ashland Day Committee is always looking for additional volunteers to plan the 25^th Anniversary of Ashland Day, which will be next year on September 25, 2010. Meetings are at Nick’s Pizza, 7 p.m. the first Monday of the month. If you have ideas for the event or would like to join the committee, call Bill Gath at 508-989-0181.
